Doesn’t talk much. His father was a poet, and poetry became his life. He joined Blue Fleet to fight Zorndyke. Loves to play football and basketball. His favorite book is The Gulf & Other Poems by Derek Walcott, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1992.
My thoughts & opinions
Sidra is your standard reliable and likeable supporting character. Calm, cool, but always in control, he’s also sensible enough to make good judgment calls, even if they went against the rules (e.g. authorizing Kino and Hayami to launch their Grampus in EP4).
Sidra played this same role in the Time & Tide DC game, acting as Iga’s bodyguard while they were at SSK city. He also demonstrated his physical strength by overpowering two of Cox’s guards, who were guarding Hayami in his prison cell.
His official Bio is pretty amusing. A poet, in a post-apocalyptic period? I wonder if he knows the Manyoshu. I find it strange and interesting that the only two Americans featured in the BS6 universe (the other one being N’dulle Gilford) are both black. Subtle social commentary? Or just coincidence?
Turn Kino into a guy, give her a stick, keep the same hair color but make it longer, and suddenly Kino and Sidra remind me of 2 characters from Final Fantasy 7…
